Recent progress in measurement and remote sensing techniquues to observe the coupled Arctic climate system

Keywords: ICE, ATMO, OCEAN, ECO

Session 10 - Short Summary

Advances in measurement and remote sensing techniques are providing new opportunities to observe and understand the complex interactions that shape the coupled Arctic climate system. This session invites contributions presenting novel or improved observational approaches for the Arctic atmosphere, sea ice, ocean, and ecosystems, spanning in situ, airborne, and satellite-based measurements. Particular emphasis is placed on synergistic approaches that combine multiple satellite observations or integrate in situ, airborne, and satellite measurements to provide more comprehensive perspectives across spatial and temporal scales. Together, the session will highlight emerging observational capabilities and their potential to address key knowledge gaps and advance understanding of the rapidly changing Arctic system.
